The ABex system extension allows entirely cableless distribution of analog and digital measurement and stimuli signals accross the complete test system. Signals are routed via defined lines with stable impedances and are organized in groups (analog, digital, power) an the ABex backplane. No cables are used to connect the device under test with switching matrices and instruments.
The integration of Non-PXI-Ressources, like power supplies can be done via rear modules.
A Virginia Panel compliant DUT interface is available as well as diverse handler and manipulator solutions for use in the ATE and semiconductor test environment
The following scheme explaines the basic architecture of ABex:
Important Features:
- analog bus expansion for standard PXI chassis (5, 8, 14, 18 slots)
- 30 analog lines (10 differential + 10 dedicated shielded lines)
- digital bus for TTL, I²C, CAN, serial, etc.
- 2 fast differential line pairs with 120 Ohm termination
- signal level up to 60V
- power bus via all system slots
40A input via high current contacts- 6 lines each 5A
- 12 lines each 1A
- rear slots for integration of external devices, special electronics and debugging
- easy signal switching via software
